Pay Attention to Past Posts’ Popularity
Think I’m writing about the power of alliteration? Good guess, but I’m saving that tip for later.
Today I’m nudging you to be mindful of the popularity of blog posts that you’ve already written. They’ll tell you what folks liked (or not).
I regularly check my web site’s statistics to see what pages are often visited. Since I write blogs weekly and have done for years, it’s usually my tips that are popular. If a particular Everyday Content Tip or Print Tip has been getting a lot of hits, I think about doing more posts along the same lines – as well as updating and republishing those popular ones.
This tip is handy when you’re feeling extreme pressure to write a blog or simply when you’ve no idea what to write about – which happens to all of us.
Look at what you’ve already written. Identify the really popular (successful) ones. Update them, share them again on your social feeds, or do more posts about the same topic.
