Born to Be a Marketing Writer
I’ve been a writer my whole life, and I’m lucky to have found a career that lets me use this skill. If you ask someone in printing or print buying to name a leading writer and marketer in the field, chances are good my name will come up. I understand the relationship between printers and their customers.
When I started my own business in 1997, I wanted to find ways to improve communications between printers and their customers. In 1999 I started my weekly enewsletter – and still publish it today. Please sign up for my Print Tips newsletter if you’re not on my list already. Since then, I’ve added another: Everyday Content Tips for Everyday People. It’s short and sweet. You can also subscribe to this one.
For 10 years I produced conferences that catered to print buyers. In 2013, I exited the event business to focus on what I truly love: writing for businesses. My sweet spot is writing blog posts and enewsletters.
Now I’m on a mission to help clients build customer communities through carefully crafted content. Nothing suits me better!
Outside of work, I can be found fawning over Charlie, my mini poodle who’s now a senior citizen. Luckily I work out of a home office, where he’s my constant companion. I also am a fitness fanatic and take at least one class (Zumba’s my preference!) a day. Two other things you ought to know about me – I’m a baker! Pies are my thing, but I also bake tons of cookies, muffins, scones, shortbreads and other treats. And I read contemporary fiction all the time; I can’t be without a book on my Kindle, and at this point in time, I’m proud to say I read about three books a month.
Now you know a bit about me. I welcome your inquiries!
